TO DO

1) Cheer for the Packers (all ages)
Sunday, 01/08: Everywhere; 3:40pm – 6:40pm (free)

All photos by Joe Powell. #fbf to the 2011 Wild Card Weekend.

After an improbable “run the table” of 6 wins following 4 losses, the Pack Attack is in the playoffs, with a home game against the dreaded Giants. This is your #1 thing this weekend, folks. If you do nothing else, open your eyes at a TV on Sunday afternoon. #WinOutOrWeOut

2) Brewcity Bruisers Opening Bout (all ages)
Saturday 01/07: UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena (Westown); 7pm – 10pm ($13)

The hardest hitting ladies this side of the Lake are back in action. We’ve written about how exciting a Brewcity Bruisers women’s roller derby bout (match) is before, and the first go of 2017 is bound to crank up the intensity.

3) Wonderful World of Weddings (all ages)
Saturday & Sunday, 01/07-08: Wisconsin State Fair Expo Center (West Allis); 10am – 4:30pm ($8)

Free photo booth trials!

It seems like everyone and their mama is getting married this year. Though we’ve been happily wed for 2 years now (cotton!), I still remember how influential the Wonderful World of Weddings expo was. We picked out our awesome DJ, caterer, and day-of assistant here, plus I got to eat all the cake and drink all the champagne I wanted! If you’re planning or thinking about a wedding, this is a must-attend event.
