TO DO

1) 2nd Annual! Turned Out for Tots, Tater Tot Casserole Cook Off (all ages)
Sunday 02/26: Wayward Kitchen Co. (Clock Tower Acres); 1pm – 4pm (free)

Though hot dish may be Minnesota’s state-meal (citation needed), Wisconsinites also enjoy tater tot casseroles as much as the next red-blooded, artery-clogged American. For the second year, Wayward Kitchen Company is hosting a cook off with these delectable little potato tubes. It’s free to enter (you’ll need to pick up a pan beforehand), and it’s all to benefit the El Puente High School art program (bring donations!).

2) Urban Candlelight Hike (all ages)
Saturday 02/25: Three Bridges Park (Menomonee Valley); 5:30pm – 8:30pm (free registration)

The Urban Ecology Center invites the public to take a candlelit winter stroll around the beautifully-urban Three Bridge Park in the Menomonee Valley this weekend for the Urban Candlelight Hike. Stops for ice sculptures, hot chocolate, marshmallows, pizza, and tea will be available, with a brewery after party.

3) 2nd Annual PBR 1K (21+)
Saturday 02/25: Nomad World Pub (Lower East Side); 12pm – 8pm ($10 donation)

Join your fellow day-drinkers in helping to kill 1000 cans of PBR this Saturday at Nomad. $10 gets you in the door and goes directly to a positive local youth soccer club. While the beer ain’t free, the Ian’s Pizza, BelAir Cantina tacos, and PBR swag are.

NOT TO DO

1) Forget that we’ve still got plenty of winter left

The summer-like temps this past week were a ruse. A RUSE!
