The city is alive this weekend with fun art activities.

Up first on Friday night is the annual Bay View Gallery Night / Jazz Fest. Some 50 businesses in the hippest part of town are throwing open their doors for a night of featured local art and jazz music. Last year I literally saw someone’s random garage full of original artwork and folks off the street. Check out the participating businesses here.

Just up the lakeshore on Friday night is the 6th annual Brady Street Art Walk. Another few dozen businesses on Brady and surrounding streets will be hosting live artists at work. Not often you get to see that, and for free.

Finally, on Saturday night Turner Hall is hosting the haphazard Milwaukee Pancakes & Booze Art Show (21+). I have no idea how this idea came to be, but for the price of a beer you can see live art, live music, live body painting, and I have to assume pancakes and booze.

2) ALL THE FOOD TRUCKS! (all ages)
There are multiple places to get your food-truck-fill this weekend.

Morgan Park is on the far south end of KK in Bay View. This and featured image by Joe Powell for The Squeaky Curd.

Take a short break from hopping around BVGN above and stop at little Morgan Park on KK & Holt for Food Truck Friday. Live music from the aforementioned Jazz Fest, and at least 15 different trucks/stands.

The Third Ward didn’t want to get left hungry Friday night, so they too will be hosting a food truck festival called Street Eats June. With over a dozen of their own vendors, the question is raised: who is left to bring food truck eats to the rest of Milwaukee’s hungry citizens?

3) ALL THE RUMBLE(all ages)
Sunday 06/04: Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery (Westown); 11am – 6pm (free)

The 3rd Annual Brewtown Rumble is Milwaukee’s unofficial kick-off to the motorcycle riding season. Ride in your own vintage motorbike or just come to gawk at every one else’s. Maybe bring some earplugs.

1) Drink too many Das Boots on your bachelor party

Oh how the turn tables have turned…
