TO DO

1) Neighborhood Festivals (all ages)
South Shore Water Frolics 07/14-16: South Shore Park (Bay View); 12pm – 10pm (free)
Garfield Days – 07/15: Garfield 502 (Haylard Park); 12pm – 10pm (free)

Just because Summerfest is over doesn’t mean the festivals stop…they just move to the neighborhoods. This weekend you can trek to either end of the city: Bay View’s Lion’s Club is blowing up the beach again this year at their historic Water Frolics, and Haylard Park’s iconic Garfield 502 pub is shutting down their namesake avenue for fun in the sun.

2) Bastille Days (all ages)
All weekend: Cathedral Square Park (East Town); 11am – 11:30pm (free)

Milwaukee’s French festival kicks off again on Thursday night with a storming of the Bastille, and the revelry continues all weekend with French and Cajun food, music, and entertainment abounding about Cathedral Square Park and the iconic mini-Eiffel Tower.

3) Summer Science Night! (all ages)
Friday 07/14: American Science and Surplus (River Bend); 6pm – 10pm (free)

Grab the kiddos and take them on down to River Bend on Oklahoma and the ineffably interesting American Science Surplus for a night of free family-friendly science experimentation!

NOT TO DO

1) Get too lost during your bachelor party

I’ll do my best to keep tabs on The Sunday Cycle‘s Rob Petrie this weekend.
