TO DO

1) Street Pub Milwaukee (all ages)
Saturday 07/22: Pere Marquette Park (Westown); 2pm – 10pm (free)

As if Milwaukee didn’t have enough bars and breweries already, Deschutes Brewery comes to town hauling along their 50-tap outdoor pub, setting up shop off Old World Third. This free event is inviting local musical acts, food trucks, and activity-persons as well. Family-friendly, with plenty’o’beer.

2) Polish Moon Ride 2017 (all ages)
Friday 07/21: Wayward Kitchen Co. (Clock Tower Acres); 5pm – 11pm ($25)

Ah, the great Polish Moon: a locally-given name for the Allen Bradley (Rockwell) clock tower on the near south side of Walker’s Point. This area of town used to be predominantly Polish, but now is home to the majority of the Latino population of Milwaukee. This annual family-friendly nighttime bike ride celebrates all associated heritages, with a mashup of food options and polka and norteña music.

3) 2017 African Cultural Festival (all ages)
Saturday 07/22: Brown Deer Park (Brown Deer Park); 11am – 10pm (free)

Though Festa Italiana takes over the Summerfest grounds this weekend, don’t miss another neighborhood ethnic party in the African Cultural Festival on the near north side. Free admission with donation to Hunger Task Force, and you’ll be immersed in “African music, drumming, dancing, poetry, delicious ethnic food, soccer games, cultural education, children activities, (and a) fashion show”.
