TO DO

1) Milwaukee Craft Brewery Week (21+)
Friday 08/04: MobCraft Beer (Walker’s Point); 3pm (free)
Saturday 08/05: Third Space Brewing (Menomonee Valley); 12pm – 5pm (free)
Sunday 08/06: D14 Brewery and Pub (Bay View); 12pm – 7pm (free)

To celebrate the inaugural Milwaukee Craft Brewery Week, three of the city’s newer crops of breweries are throwing big (free) parties for folks each day: MobCraft‘s Amplified Ales will pair different beers with different bands, Third Space‘s Wisconsin IPA Fest pits 40 of the state’s IPAs against each other, and D14‘s Project Terrior shuts down a Bay View street to sample 9 different breweries’ beers made with the same recipe.

Oh, and of course the Beer Bloggers & Writers Conference is in town to sample it all.

2) Center Street Daze (all ages)
Saturday 08/05: Riverwest; 11am – 8pm (free)

Riverwest never stops: this weekend they’re partying up and down Center Street and surrounding blocks, celebrating all the eclectic RW businesses and bands. Don’t miss the classic car show and the pushcart derby!

3) 7th Annual Urban Island Beach Party (18+?)
Friday 08/04: Lakeshore State Park (Third Ward); 5pm – 11pm (free)

That neat man-made island park across from the Summerfest grounds will play host once again to Newaukee’s afternoon hipster hangout. Think tropical music, BBQ, stand-up paddle boarding, and sunset yoga with the best, uninterrupted views of both the lake and the city.
