TO DO

1) 11th Annual Tomato Romp Festival (16+)
Saturday 09/09: The East Side; 10am – 4pm ($10)

The nation’s longest running rotten tomato fight, the Tomato Romp Festival, will see the streets of the East Side of Milwaukee are bathed in red. To keep the surprisingly-morbid explanation going, there will also be a Bloody Mary competition as well. I’m frightened but also salivating.

2) Fearless Girl Beer Event (all ages)
Saturday 09/09: Humboldt Park Beer Garden (Bay View); 12pm – 7pm (free)

Making and drinking beer ain’t just an ol’ boys club anymore; in fact, a growing number of Wisconsin craft breweries are either owned or operated by women. This weekend the Humboldt Park Beer Garden is gathering a bunch of these influential ladies from at least 10 different Wisconsin breweries in one place for an afternoon of discussion and, of course, beer.

3) Indian Summer Festival (all ages)
All weekend: Summerfest Grounds (Lakefront); 4pm – 12am/ 12pm – 12am / 11am – 8pm ($15)

Celebrate the end of the summer festival season with Indian Summer, a downtown party promoting the heritage of the cultures that first settled Wisconsin and America. Native foods, games, and dancing await all those who venture down to the lakefront.
