*Just in case you didn’t already have plans for the next few days (as if, you popular person, you), here’s your list of 3 things to do in Milwaukee this weekend…and 1 not to do.*
It’s a very odd trilogy, folks. For the third time, Screaming Tuna Sushi & Asian Bistro in Walker’s Point will be hosting a onesie-themed all day party. DJs, $25 bottomless mimosas and Miller Lites, 1/2 off all drinks. The catch (or the best part?) is that you have to wear a onesie. Preferably adult-sized. I have no idea why this is a thing, but it sounds like something 22-year-old me would do. Drunk Millennials and sushi; what could go wrong?
The traditional German holiday market will feature 20+ vendors this year at the Best Place at the Pabst. Besides the hand-made and imported German decorations, food, and goods, the indoor/outdoor event will have live music and plenty of German fare to feast upon. Free to enter and get your polka on.
For years, the This Time Tomorrow Foundation has been providing random acts of kindness to families battling cancer. Started by a local musician with a song for a friend with lymphoma, the musical fundraising continues today through nationally-known acts on a TTTF record label and this yearly gala.
This year there’ll be a formal, plated dinner with entertainment from Chip Esten, Porter Nickerson (Willy Porter), and Mai & Chaska from Raining Jane. There’s also a silent auction, already on-going at this website. It’s an impressive night for a worthy cause.
NOT TO DO
1) Forget to bundle up on the first weekend of freezing temps
