TO DO

1) 11th Annual Cookie Walk (all ages)
Sunday 12/10: Bay View United Methodist Church (Bay View); 5pm – 10pm (free)

It’s Christmas time. But perhaps just as important: it’s Christmas-cookie time! Stop on by the Bay View United Methodist Church and stock up on bushels of homemade Christmas cookies. You know it’s a pretty big enterprise when they’re pricing things by the pound ($9/lb). Proceeds go towards local community organizations.

2) Pfister Holiday Marketplace (all ages)
Sat – Sun 12/09-10: Pfister Hotel (East Town); 11am – 7pm (free)

A giant list of local artists and artisans have crafted the perfect holiday gift ideas for every person on your list, and the elegant and cheerfully-decorated Pfister Hotel is hosting a weekend-long pop up shop for you to peruse the wares. Grab a Tom & Jerry or a Hot Toddy from the lobby lounge, nom on some free snacks, and get into the holiday cheer while dropping some Christmas cash.

3) Ginger Bread House Display (all ages)
Fri – Sun 12/08-10: Milwaukee Public Market (Third Ward); 10am – 8pm (free)

While you’re stopping in to the Public Market for a quick hot chocolate during your holiday gift shopping, make sure to admire (and bid on) the 40-some intricate gingerbread houses lining the second-floor railing. Crafted by MATC baking and pastry arts students, all proceeds from sales will go toward furthering their educations.
