Joe About Us
Like many of the young people currently in Milwaukee, I was born and bred in a nearby suburb. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I began working for an electrical engineering company in St Louis. It wasn’t until I’d lived in another big city  that I realized how perfect of a fit Milwaukee really had been for me. Spending less than a year in STL, I jumped at an opportunity to move back home. After residing in downtown Milwaukee (East Town, Juneautown, take your pick) for a couple years, I’ve decided to retire from the city hustle to Bay View. I like doing activities and eating edible things. I dislike being hangry.

A Waukeshan by birth, I headed south to attend Saint Louis University and escape Wisconsin. After four and a half years away, I realized I couldn’t wait to move back to the Badger state. Now a happy resident of Bay View, I’m an occupational therapist by day and an editor, chef, & beer connoisseur by night.  I love exploring all MKE has to offer. As a Packers Owner and season ticket waiting list member #59,316, I also bleed green & gold.

Born in Milwaukee and moved to Texas at the early age of 14, I never got to experience Milwaukee, so I made it a point to move back as soon as I graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso. I live for exploring this great city and find that there is something new to learn behind every corner. That is why Wecome to Thursdays was created. When I’m not out exploring Milwaukee I am either selling traffic signs, playing video games, or coming up with my next ridiculous tale of Old Milwaukee greatness. Cheers.

  1. If you haven’t already, I suggest a story on interesting facts about Milwaukee churches. For example, St, Paul’s Episcopal on Knapp street has the largest window ever created by the Tiffany Studio.

  2. If you guys are interested theatrical events as part of your coverage, I know a Brookfield native who’s got a English/Theater major that might be interested in doing some writing for you.
