Death’s a tough one to write about. This past Monday we lost another good one: Gene Wilder. It’s a little eerie how topical his Milwaukee ties are as we reflect on his life, as Wilder (formerly Jerome Silberman) attended Washington High School in Sherman Park, just a few blocks from where the recent unrest took place.

Instead of dwelling on the sadness of both of these recent events tied to our fair city, let’s instead take a moment to celebrate the life of one of the 20th century’s greatest comedic actors in the best way us Millennials know how to process emotions: GIF-form.
