Greetings and Salutations my Friends,

This week we travel to historical West Allis in search of good times at Dopp’s Bar and Grill. Dopp’s is home to some amazing drink specials, and even more amazing food. Run by Tammy Dopp, the creator of this glorious place, Dopp’s cold drinks and hot food have been making patrons happy throughout the years in West Allis. Dopp’s is also known to be heavily supportive of our major Wisconsin teams: Brewers, Badgers, Packers, Bucks and many more! Maybe one of our Thursdians will be willing to give the “spin a wheel” a shot; prizes such as free drinks await those brave enough to give it a spin! All in all, we are surely in for a good time this Thursday night, and I look forward to seeing you all out there!

Dopp’s, always supporting Wisconsin!

One little known fact about Dopp’s, is that it played a historic roll in one Milwaukee couple’s love story. It all started back in 2012, when one women was willing to go as far as her love would take her, to make sure she could spend the rest of her life with her soul mate, or should I say soul keg.

As the story goes, a local Milwaukee woman by the name of Wilhelmina Ferrlastima was minding her own business at her younger sister’s Quinceañera when her uncle handed her a full cup of beer. This was no ordinary beer my friends, this was the crem-de-la-crem of beers. The virtuoso of all other beers. The GOAT.  The beer Jedi masters drink.  Our dear friend, Old Milwaukee, of course!

The very second Wihlemina took a drink she was hooked. She found the keg and stole it from her own sister’s party. She knew at this moment that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with roughly 1984 ounces of this amazing brew.  That very night, she went from church to church looking for someone to legally marry her with her soul keg. After so much denial, she had all but given up until she saw the welcoming light of a local pub. She opened to door to Dopp’s to find a young deacon sitting alone.  Wilhelmina explained her love for this keg to the young man, and without hesitation he looked back at them, gave them his blessing, and married the two.

Supposedly this was the young deacon that married the two. A true believer in love.

If you are wondering, both Wihlemina and the keg are living happily in a cottage off Moshawquit Lake in Legend Lake, Wisconsin – but today the keg appears to have lost a considerable amount of weight.

Cheers my Friends!

Your Co-founder and Friend,

Jeremy Blandin
