Greetings and Salutations my Friends,

In the heat of the summer, many of us are busy with volleyball, softball, golf, or whatever festival finds itself in Milwaukee. Sometimes we just need to take a step back, take a deep breath, and relax. As much as we would all love an island getaway, sometimes that’s just not in the budget, which is why I am excited to say that this week, Welcome to Thursdays is making their Milwaukee Island getaway. On Thursday, we travel to The Sangria Bar, a place where the drinks are delicious and the setting is tropical. Serving up a wide variety of delicious fruit concoctions called Sangria, this place will be one to remember in the long list of Welcome to Thursday destinations. With great people, delicious drinks, and the inner city island life, why wouldn’t you want to come out!?!

The island life is definitely something we all dream of, heck we have had plenty of Thursdians travel to exotic places; but we all know that something that good comes at a cost. Ah, the island life, not a care in the world – the sun, the beach, and maybe even an ice cold sangria. You find yourself in a state of pure relaxation, but then it hits, you start to feel yourself getting dizzy, hallucinations take over and it gets extremely cold. You have just been hit with “Old Mil Fever”. You see, what many don’t know is that going too long without having an ice cold Old Milwaukee can not only hurt the body, but the brain as well. Many Thursdians know of this, so they always plan accordingly when traveling by bringing a healthy supply of Old Milwaukee in their luggage.

If you really want to get creative maybe you could try to make the world’s greatest Sangria: “Old Mil Mangria”.

1 Can of Old Milwaukee

1 freshly squeezed orange, lemon, and lime.

1 Cup of Club Soda

1 ½ Cup of White Wine

2 dabs of hopes and dreams

Just one example of “Old Mil Fever”

I very much look forward to tasting a variety of sangrias, with the fruity aromas, exotic tastes, and maybe even with a splash of Old Mil!

Cheers my friends!
