Greetings and Salutations my most honorable Thursdians,

I write this fresh off a fantastic holiday with family. I spent my days sipping on fine Old Mil next to a roaring fire, my best friend Yogi asleep on my lap, watching as snow fell to the ground in a peaceful manner. I truly had an amazing holiday, and I hope that you and your family had the same; but that is in the past and now we must look to the future. The future my friends, is looking pretty great! Of course, I am specifically looking at this Thursday, as we travel out to The Standard Tavern. After looking at the menu of this fantastic gem, I am convinced that all of you need to come out this Thursday because they truly have something for everyone: an amazing beer list and absolutely delicious cocktails, all made by a friendly staff! The Standard is definitely going to be one for the books this Thursday, so come on out as we close out an amazing year – especially those who have off of work the next day!

When I was looking into our destination this Thursday it reminded me of something my grandfather always said when I opened a can of Old Mil’s neighbor, delicious Hamm’s. He would always raise his glass and say “The Golden Standard”. For the longest time I couldn’t figure it out, until I did some research and found out the Hamm’s truly was “the gold standard” when it came to beer.

Next time you crack open a rich, savory, delectable Hamm’s give it a pour and admire that perfect golden hue, as it shines like a beacon of flavor and hope. We all know that Old Milwaukee is perfection in a can, but I can honestly say that Hamm’s is a close second – and I for one salute the land of sky blue waters for their classic taste and Gold Standard.
