Greetings and Salutations my most humble Thursdians,

Join us this Thursday as we continue the musical trend and head to Tonic Tavern (2335 S Kinnickinnic Ave) to move and dance to the Rusty Pelicans ($5 cover), who will be performing live. Now this is quite the treat, as the Rusty Pelicans contain one of our own: Dana Coppafeel! Let’s show him that his Thursday night family can bring a crowd and make this one show the Rusty Pelicans won’t forget!

The Rusty Pelicans

Tonic Tavern is your friendly neighborhood bar that invites you in for great music and delicious libations. But how and where did it get its name “Tonic”? Well my friends, I am happy to say that I have the answers.

It all happened during the early 1900’s, when this very tavern belonged to a highly sought after doctor, C.W. Graham. Dr. Graham used methods that would not be accepted in today’s practices, as the patients who visited the good doctor got the same results every time: a clean bill of health and a fresh supply of Old Milwaukee.

The good doctor, C.W. Graham

You see, Dr. Graham knew the true, healing power of Old Milwaukee. Have a cold? Have a pint and call me in the morning. People would travel from all over the area to visit this miracle practice. It wasn’t until the greedy medical companies shut him down and hid this amazing secret that the miracle of Old Milwaukee was forgotten. There are still some pioneers who practice with the miracle elixir, but they have to work in the shadows to avoid major insurance malpractice suits. Dr. Will Farrell is one who has worked tirelessly to spread the joy and power of Old Milwaukee throughout the world; he will go down as a true colleague of Old Milwaukee.

Trust him…..he’s a doctor.

All of this, of course, is how “Tonic Tavern” received its great name: the simple Tonic that has the power to heal the world. So join me and the other Thursdians to listen to great music and spread the word of Old Milwaukee on Thursday. Together, we can make a difference one tavern at a time. All we have to do is decide what to do with the time that is given to us.

Cheers my Friends!

Your Founder and Friend,

Jeremy Blandin
