“I find myself sitting in between a dream and reality, only to find that Old Milwaukee exists in both. As I ponder on my thoughts, I fall into a deep state of the things that make up the very constitution of my mind and it occurs to me, the foundation of my very soul is built on the prodigiousness of Old Milwaukee’s benevolence.” – Joe Powell (WTT Member #15 & certified Drunk Uncle)

Greetings and Salutations Thursdians,

This week we are in for quite the treat as we travel to The Drunk Uncle, a bar that is still making a name for itself in this crazy bar town, but making noise and catching eyes with every beer poured. The Drunk Uncle is known for its amazing bar staff and excellent beer selection, as the tapper list is constantly changing to keep things fresh and exciting. With amazing prices, the Thursday crew should be in for one hell of a night. When you’re not chatting it up with your fellow Thursday night companions, you can also partake in some recreational activities such as shuffleboard, pinball, and the classic “Mini-Baseball” machine. In my opinion though, the most interesting part of this week’s establishment is the name, The Drunk Uncle.

All of us have that one uncle, you know, the one who makes us laugh or the one who has a little too much at the family Christmas party – or in my situation the one who likes to set 30-year-old 151 rum on fire indoors (cheers Uncle Scott!). The truth is, all uncles out there have a duty: to have a good time. You see, as an uncle you are supposed to be the fun one, the one who makes you laugh when all others aren’t, the one who encourages you to go for it no matter what it is, like wearing matching Chip and Dale hats for an entire day (cheers Uncle Kevin!).

Cheers to the founders’ uncles, and all the uncles out there!

Like the pirates of old, the uncles of today’s world have a code that must be followed, and the Drunk Uncle is just one stop that ensures that the code holds true. This code was written into the Old Milwaukee Doctrine in 1844 by the most famous uncle of them all, Uncle Sam. Since then, Old Milwaukee and many of the influential uncles of today’s world have made it a point to keep to the code and provide good times, laughs, and light when all other things seem at their darkest.

Start the movement!

Cheers my Friends!
