Oh, Hello again, It’s me Welcome to Thursdays. I’ve been waiting for you.
You see, I know that life can sometimes be rough and tough, it can almost feel as if there isn’t enough time. It is within that very essence I want you to remember just that: time. Time is the most precious gift and sometimes we need to learn how to use it to better ourselves. We put in our time, oh trust me, we PUT IN OUR TIME; so on Thursday let’s put some of that time back into ourselves. Let’s go back to Camp Bar in the Third Ward and remember what its like to laugh, love, and live. Have an Old Fashioned, you deserve it! Heck have a second one, just be responsible.
On Thursday night I want you to leave behind all the deadlines, all the meetings, all the corporate mumbo-jumbo. I want you to forget about lesson plans, forget about meeting quarterly goals, forget everything that even remotely stresses you out. There is one thing I want you to be thinking about, and that’s yourself. Think of me as a micro-vacation away from it all, I am your escape amongst the ineluctable pressures of being an adult. There is a big, beautiful, city out there for all of us to explore, a city with a thousand stories to tell, and thousands more that have not yet been made. Let’s be one of those stories.
So to all you nurses, teachers, software engineers, accountants, inventory control specialists, Zamboni drivers, installation and fulfillment specialists, business development managers, technical sourcers, and whoever else I missed, I simply have one thing to say: We travel to Camp bar this week, do yourself a favor and be there.
