Greetings and Salutations,

Well, well, well. It would appear that spring has finally decided to spring upon us, as the sun shines just a bit brighter and the grass gets a bit greener with every new day. With that comes a new sense of energy throughout Milwaukee. A hard-fought season by the Bucks comes down to the playoffs and the Brewers pick up where they left off last year behind hot bats and some pretty lights-out pitching. An eerily quiet Summerfest ground sits empty like a sleeping beast waiting to be awoken by guitar riffs and thousands of people (I am beyond excited about this year’s Summerfest Lineup). Yes, spring is in full effect and with that comes an energized Welcome to Thursdays Crew ready to get after it.

This week we travel to one of the most exciting breweries in Milwaukee: MobCraft. With a constantly adventurous tap list of exotic and bold flavors all with a story or theme to back it up, this is one Thursday you should definitely not miss! MobCraft has always been a favorite stop of mine because they are not afraid to try things that stray from the status quo when it comes to beer. They have an amazing crowd-sourcing program that lets “the mob” (aka, anyone) submit ideas for beer –  and if it goes far enough, it will actually get made! There have been some pretty amazing submissions like January of 2019’s “Caramel Brownie Sundae Milk Stout”, or my personal favorite October of 2018’s “Peanuttin Butter than this Chocolate Porter”. Along with the crowd-sourcing program, MobCraft has a fantastic list of standard taps that are sure to amaze.

For those looking for some competition this Thursday, MobCraft will also be holding a Super Smash Bros Tournament from 6pm – 9pm. It’s free entry for a stellar competition of 2001’s Super Smash Bros Melee for the Nintendo GameCube. Lots of prizes, though if you are there enjoying the beer you are already a winner in my book. E-mail our friend Brad at brad@mobcraftbeer.com to reserve your spot. To learn more about MobCraft and all its epicness, you can visit their website.

Whether you compete in the Smash Bros competition or just come out to enjoy some amazing beer, this Thursday will definitely be one to remember, and I for one cannot wait to get my hands on some delicious brews. I look forward to seeing you all there.

Cheers my friends!

Your Co-founder and Friend,

Jeremy J. Blandin
