How in the name of Jaysus are ya?

Matt here, filling in for Jeremy this week, as he gears up for the big March 1-7. Another Thursdays is upon us and this one will be a little teaser for the upcoming holiday, St. Patrick’s Day! We sure are lucky to be heading to Mo’s Irish Pub this Thursday where the Guinness is always cold, and the pub is always jammers. Come on out this Thursday, wear your best St. Paddy’s gear and make sure you are thirsty!

While I sit behind the keyboard with a cold Smithwick’s, I am reminded of an old tale about Mo’s Irish Pub. It was 1942 and the Eve of St. Patrick’s Day. Patrick O’Conner was cleaning up the bar and pushing the last drunk Irishman out the door. He wiped down the bar, stacked the bar stools on the tables, and turned off the all the lights. Morning came quickly for Patrick as he needed to be at the pub by 4 AM to open. With his Irish coffee in hand, he headed out the door and made his way to Mo’s. As he approached the building he could hear music playing. Unsure of where it was coming from, he got closer and realized the music was coming from Mo’s. Knowing he was the only one with a key and the only one that was supposed to be there, he opened the door with caution.

To his surprise, the bar lights were shining, the bar stools were all down and there were frosty mugs of beer all lined up on the bar. Galloway Girl was screaming out the jukebox, and everyone was singing and throwing back beers. Patrick sat down and wondered who was responsible for this? Was this some type of holiday surprise? Was someone playing a prank on old Mr. O’Connor? That St. Patrick’s Day went down as one of the best parties in history, but Patrick never found out who set the bar up that night. Legend has it, that a leprechaun was behind the mystery. Some claim to have seen a little figure in the window on the Eve of St. Patrick’s Day, but no one has ever made contact.

So, put on your drinking pants and come to Mo’s Irish Pub this Thursday. Who knows, maybe you’ll catch a glimpse of the leprechaun.

Cheers my friends!
