After a week off from Welcome to Thursdays, we travel to the much anticipated Pabst Brewery and Taproom. The brewery and taproom holds a very special place in Milwaukee, as it revived of one of the city’s historic breweries that made Milwaukee the brew capital of the world. After 152 years, Pabst Brewery closed in 1996 leaving a city betrayed; several decades later, thanks to growing interest from many hipsters, Pabst is once again brewing beer in Milwaukee (if you ignore that Miller has been brewing it down the street for many years). It’s even more fitting that a beer so loved and worshiped by its people now serves its great beer in a church for all to worship once again. So come join us this Thursday for a wonderful night at the Pabst Brewery and Taproom.

Now to start with a fictitious story. Thinking….Pondering….You know what? This is my article. Those fictitious stories written by my cousin and founder are his. I couldn’t compete with him anyway. Let’s face it, in order to write those articles you have to be in love with Old Milwaukee or a Windows Paint guru. Instead, what catches my attention when I am trolling the webs is a nice list, that easily sums up the article for me. So that’s what this is: a list.

This list is all about honoring two great Milwaukee icons: Summerfest and Pabst. So in honor of the bar we are attending this week and the wonderful festival that just ended last week, I’ve found seven artists in different genres, that honor and express emotional love towards that one and only brand of beer, Pabst.

Let’s start the list:

You got a spare kidney and your liver looks bored
