Welcome to Thursdays: Toni’s Moody Blues

Greetings and Salutations,

The holiday season is in full effect and I hope all of you had a fantastic Thanksgiving. After scrolling through what felt like a thousand Instagram posts about people putting up Christmas trees, I am certainly ready to get back to it!  Now it’s time to change focus back to Thursday nights, as we give thanks for this fantastic city and all the fantastic people that come with it! To do this, we travel back to Bay View to explore Toni’s Moody Blues.

Operating in 1925 as a soda parlor, this Bay View classic has seen its fair share of changes as various taverns – but one thing has always remained the same: it thrives to keep the locals quenched. Mini pitchers, cocktails, the company of good service and great people are what we have in store this Thursday – so if that type of thing tickles your fancy then swing on by and say hi!

The other night I was enjoying an ice cold beverage with my parents and Bichon, Yogi, whilst watching Shrek, and like all people who watch Shrek I was hit with a blast of inspiration and decided to write a poem. So this is what I got…..

An ode to November 29th, 2018

Where to go this Thursday, I’ll give you some Clues.

Where to go this Thursday, it is obvious! Toni’s Moody Blues.

You will have no reasons to be mad, for many Cold beers will be had,

And in Milwaukee its clearly the fad – heck I learned that from my dad!

To friends, You will certainly talk with cheer

whilst yelling to the barkeep, “ONE MORE BEER!”

And even though you may have to work the next day,

Your love for Thursdays will make you want to stay.

Although the Packers season has turned quite grim,

We can always get cheered up with yet another Bucks Win.

So if you love Milwaukee, if you think its quite divine,

Then come to Welcome to Thursdays – not coming is truly a crime!

Cheers my friends!
