Greetings and Salutations,

This week we celebrate one of the core strengths of Welcome to Thursdays: finding the hidden gems that most people would never notice. We’re traveling to the Valley Inn in the Miller Valley, a bar that has been around since 1959, when they opened under a different name. Like a beacon of hope, a bright, illuminating Miller sign shines down on the Valley Inn as they sit comfortably next to the Miller Brewing company. Being so close to Miller, the Valley Inn has strong ties to the Milwaukee beer giant, and has become a stomping ground for some of the employees.

Back in 2007 they expanded their food menu and now serve up a full menu of delicious options. Besides the obvious assortment of Miller’s all-star lineup, the Valley Inn also offers a wide variety of tasty cocktails. With great food and drinks also comes very friendly and down-to-earth service. With such a grand offering you would be silly to not come out this Thursday and join the crew.

It’s funny, because whenever you talk to someone who is very passionate about wine or champagne, they will tell you two things, first, if the champagne is not from France then you need to call it sparkling wine. Second, if you want good wine, sparkling included, you need to go to Napa Valley. This is where I would like to take a stand and correct them, because they are wrong. You see there is only one valley that holds the finest champagne in all the world, a champagne that literally stands up to all others in flavor. It’s the only thing I’ll drink when the ball drops every New Year, and it’s what I will buy you if we are celebrating something. It’s a champagne that greets you at the taste buds and says “I’m classy, but I’m also here for a good time”. It’s the only champagne good enough to be put into bottles and cans: Miller High Life. Come on out this week, take a chance, visit the Thursdays crew at the Valley Inn, and live that High Life you so deserve.

You can never have too much High Life.

Cheers my friends!
